our house

Because I am a "starting out" Interior Designer, pretty much my only "real life" portfolio so far, that I can document, is our house. Being on an extreme budget and using furniture and accessories I've collected over the years moving from apartment to apartment... this is my design.

When we bought the 15 year old house, all the walls were white and had never been painted, so we spent a week painting. We replaced all the window treatments and light fixtures, and purchased new appliances. Nothing has been remodeled.... yet. We are currently working on the master bathroom.

There are more pictures to come, but for now.... enjoy.

frame wall {part 2}

I started designing this frame wall for my mom's living room, with pictures I took of the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA. Because I live 1,000 miles away, I couldn't be there long enough to put everything together for her, so I hung the frames in place and took measurements. When I got home I photoshoped the images, and arranged them as to how they are going to look in the digital image shown below, so that it would be easy for her to put them together without me being there.

I sent the pictures to print and all my mom had to do was put the pictures in the frames that looked like the digital picture and Voila! Check it out:

stacy & dan engagement session

I had so much fun with Stacy & Dan. I work with Stacy at the J. Crew Factory Store in Castle Rock. She got engaged and needed a photographer, so I was happy to do it. Since they both live downtown, I knew the perfect place for their photo shoot. The two of them cracked me up the entire time.

Stacy & Dan are getting married... check out their engagement photo shoot in Denver.

frame wall

I love to do picture collages and frame walls and its become one of my specialties. I just designed this wall in photoshop for my mom... she lives in California and when I was there a few weeks ago, we found frames, hung them and then I went and took pictures of the Mission Inn in Riverside. When I came home, I photoshoped them, arranged them in the sizes that were needed, and now I am sending them off to print... stay tuned to see the final product. The great thing about making a mock-up is not only to let her see what it will look like, but to help her put the pictures in the right frames without me being there.

grandma's 86th birthday

My Grandma Harvey turned 86 on July 23rd and these are a few of my favs from the part-ay!

I made this "happy birthday" banner and it was a hit!

The photo frame was a hit too! These pictures turned out so cute! We had each family take a photo and then each family signed a page of the guest book where their picture will be. This way, Grandma will remember everyone who was at her party and be will able to read all the messages.

Say Cheese!

She loved it when we all sang to her. My mom bought sparklers candles but they wouldn't light :(

She was SO CUTE making faces at me!

Kody & Jordyn were sweet.

save-the-date

I was playing around with these "save the date" postcards and they are great because I can customize them to any color you want, to match your wedding colors, and then we can create the wedding invitations to be similar with your logo.
